Dear TBD ZiNetwork Participants:
Happy Fall, y'all! I'm writing to invite you to join the ZiNetwork, a new regional zine interest group to connect maker-activists in Kentucky and Appalachia! ๐
Simply send a message with your preferred email address to tammylynnclemons+ZiNetwork(at)gmail(dot)com to be included in the "ZiNetwork" list and receive group communications.
This invitation is for folks who are interested/experienced in zine making, fests, library collections, pedagogy, and/or history in Kentucky and/or Central Appalachia. There are currently 34 participants who engage in these activities, 23 of whom responded to the interest survey: https://bit.ly/KY-Appal-ZiNetwork-Survey.
Based on preliminary survey responses and correspondence with some folks so far, there is an overwhelmingly preference for email distribution lists. I created a basic Google Contact label for facilitating group communication as a short-term solution for sharing information without anyone having to create new accounts for now.
Meanwhile, the ZiNetwork interest survey will remain open for a little while longer as we continue reaching out to folks who may be interested in participating. Feel free to share this invitation, the survey link, and the one-page mini-zine invitation (below) with any relevant individuals, groups, and programs.
I look forward to the possibility of including you in the ZiNetwork conversation and community!
Be Kind, Be Kin,
*Dr. AnthroBone
๐ The ZiNetwork is supported by a 2023 Kentucky Foundation for Women Art Meets Activism Grant and community partner Sarabande Books. Visit https://anthroboneinthefield.blogspot.com/2023/08/-ZiNetwork-Survey-KY-Appalachia.html to learn more!
P.S. For printing hard copies of the mini-zine, be sure to check "Actual Size" and "Choose paper source by PDF size" in the "Page Sizing & Handling" section of the print settings before printing so the dimensions are correct for folding.
